About us

Aborigena is inspired by Pre-Columbian art. We handcraft jewelry, with each piece being 100% handmade. Our creations draw inspiration from historical objects that marked important periods in our ancestors' lives, represented through their artistic inventions. These pieces were born in the veins of the jungle, in the spirit of the mountains, in the waves of the sea, in the air that dances on the sand, the euphoric current of the rivers, and the soul of the species—in the heart of Mother Earth and everything that lives and breathes within her.

We aim to represent the cultural diversity and heritage of Latin America, sharing that essence with other cultures. We share history, style, and tradition in a fashionable and contemporary way through body accessories that enrich the look consciously.

The passion for cultural heritage inspired us to create pieces with aesthetic and symbolic values, telling different stories from Pre-Columbian societies in every collection.

The storie behind!

Greetings! I'm Laura, an industrial designer originally from Colombia. Five years ago, my husband and I embarked on a journey that led us from Colombia to Portugal, and currently, we call Italy our home.

My passion extends beyond industrial design; it intertwines with handcrafted artistry and the rich tapestry of cultural heritage. Hailing from the diverse landscapes of Colombia, I felt a profound curiosity to delve into the histories of aboriginal cultures from Latin America – exploring their traditions, beliefs, imagination, and the remarkable artifacts they crafted. This exploration gave birth to Aborigena.

Through my brand, I aim to showcase the essence of my Latin American culture, and a captivating facet of history often unfamiliar to many.

I warmly invite you to immerse yourself in our culture through our exquisite accessories. Thank you for being part of the Aborigena journey.
